Myth #1: Reduced intake of food is necessary for you to lose weight.
Reality: The time you eat is more important than how much you eat. Eating at the wrong times is what actually causes weight gain.
Solution: Learn the best times to eat for your Ayurvedic body-type.
Myth #2: You must overcome your cravings to lose weight.
Reality: Cravings are a natural response to a real need and a weak digestive system. Eating at the wrong times and the wrong foods makes it difficult for the body to absorb the nutrients it needs. Cravings arise from this inability to take in or assimilate the nutrients.
Solution: The key to the cessation of cravings is to strengthen digestion. You will accomplish this by learning the proper times to eat and the proper foods to eat for your Ayurvedic body-type. Ayurveda also suggests herbs that help digestion and elimination once an Ayurvedic diet is established.
Myth #3: Exercise will help you lose weight.
Reality: Exercise can help you lose weight. However, improper exercise can actually cause you to gain weight.
Solution: Learn the level and type of exercise that is right for your Ayurvedic body-type.
4 Week Weight Loss Program
Initial Personal Consultation: This is a comprehensive 2 to 3 hour evaluation. Your level of fitness and state of health will be assessed. Based on this assessment, you will be given a personal exercise program based on your body-type designed to help your body metabolize fat and help you relax. State of the art monitoring equipment will be used to show you exactly how to exercise for maximum weight loss using your HR (heart rate) and HRV (heart rate variability). See HR Graphs from an actual client. This personalized exercise program will be the first phase of your weight normalization program. The goal here is to turn you body into a fat burning machine and not a carbohydrate burning machine (see chart). When this happens, cravings will naturally subside.
Personalized Diet and Routine: Once your cravings have normalized, it will be much easier for you to follow a personalized diet based upon your body-type. We then go on to phase two, which is to develop a personalized diet program based on your Ayurvedic body-type and your current state of balance. We will then meet one on one for 4 to 5 more times, for a total of approx. 10 hours of personal training, consultation and instruction.
